2001 Toyota Highlander

The 2001 Toyota Highlander, which is built on the Toyota Camry platform is a
mid-size, five-passenger sport utility vehicle based on the Lexus RX 300, the
platform, suspension, and 3.0-liter V6 engine. Highlander offers the optional
four-cylinder engine with front wheel drive and a six-cylinder engine with all-wheel
drive.
The Highlander is more car-like SUV than a truck based 4Runner with its unit-body
platform, fully independent suspension, low step-in height, and sure-footed handling.
Highlander is a spacious wagon that offers the security of four-wheel drive and
a little of extra ground clearance for driving heavy rains and winters. Highlander
is equipped with a fully independent suspension with MacPherson struts and front
and rear anti-roll bars.
Toyota Highlander has a smooth V6 engine and pick up, passenger or cargo room,
highway mpg, car-like handling, minimal interior noise, easy fold-down and reclining
backseats, cargo liner, exterior style, and 360-degree sights. On the other side
Toyota Highlander has flimsy interior plastic touches, rough ride over bumps,
tinny JBL audio system, confusing side-by-side and cruise controls, somehow narrow
front passenger seats to some occupants, cheap carpet mats, and recessed display
panel.
